Abstract: An unwanted by-product of a healthy deer herd in the Southeast is lone star ticks, and a growing number of prime deer areas are also becoming prime tick areas. If you are presently facing tick problems, education, repellents, and integrated pest management practices will provide some relief. But a solution to the problem will entail figuring a way to get rid of the ticks without adversely affecting the deer resource.
