Abstract: Detailed information concerning hunter observations, distribution and success were collected during the 1985 and 1986 deer seasons on the Marion County Wildlife Management Area through the use of a short daily questionnaire (N=7258). Five different parameters were evaluated with respect to season and area hunted; (1) hunter success rate; (2) hunter observation rate; (3) average duration of hunt; (4) hunter density; (5) number of deer harvested.
